Holiday - Bubba's Road Trip

It's going to be a little quiet around here for the next few days. I know, I know, perfect time to take a vacation with the first day of free agency right around the corner, but some things can't be helped.

The good news is that I will have my XM radio, cellphone, and my laptop with me and will be checking the news often enough, I'm sure. Perhaps late some evenings if I can't sleep, I'll even be typing away on this blog, just like normal.

But please keep in mind that if you send me a question, it will take a bit longer than normal to reply. I will respond though, as soon as time permits.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who take the time to visit this site. Even though the Hurricanes have not set a skate on the ice in the RBC for over two months now, the traffic here at Canes Country has been every bit as busy as it was during the season. That is a testament to Canes fans everywhere.

I will be adding a few tidbits here and there while I'm gone, and when I return I will be getting right back into the thick of things with more analysis, interviews, and other surprises. Next season promises to be a big one for Canes Country.

Ciao!

Mark Streit should be the next target. We need somebody, ANYBODY on D. Why have we not resigned Seidenberg? I thought he played well and woud be a good second liner. Please oh please sign somebody good.

Our season may be over before it starts! With Tampa acquiring Niskala and signing Malone and Roberts. Tampa also has a chance to sign Rolston and Stamkos. Oh Gosh!

JR says that by Wednesday we can expect to see 2-3 new defensemen and likely will come via trade… im preparing to say goodbye to Cole, I hate it but we need that D. Id expect to see some more signings by mid day tomorrow.

Tamba is gonna be TOUGH next season as long as MudFlap knows how to coach the new NHL.

Thanks for the vacation wishes, everyone. So far so good. The temps have been cool up north.

Tampa Bay is looking awesome. Hopefully they can’t sign Rolston as well, that guy is a beast short-handed.

malone is a 50 pt player at best outside of pittsburgh, and roberts is no realy threat at this point in his career….i don;t think we have any reason to be afraid of tampa.
