Around SBN: The Ten Worst Swings Of The 2011 Season

Artists Busy at the RBC

What is a sure sign that hockey season is right around the corner? How about when they start painting the playing surface of the RBC?

What is that logo at center ice, another third jersey tease? Looks like the tropical storm flag afterall.

You can check out more updates on the "live" RBC WebCam.

Hat-tip to Icethetics for the heads-up.

That looks pretty sharp. I’m thinking we’re going to see that as the third jersey. Not much more of a wait!

Why is that they don’t use two flags which is generally known as a symbol for a hurricane?

whats the deal with the comments on tropical storm? the single flag is actually a “Hurricane Watch” flag, vs. the double flag is a “Hurricane Warning” flag.. Tropical storm flags I believe do not have the black square..

canesice,
thanks for the explanation. Joe Ovies over at 850 the buzz is always talking about the single flag being for a tropical depression. guess if you have a hurricane warning the storm is a tropical depression? Whereas, the double flag for when storm becomes ligit hurricane. Guess it’s fitting the logo is one flag…. warning…you may or may not see real hurricane(s) any given night.

Actually a Hurricane watch can be issued when a HURRICANE is approaching the differnce in a Watch and a Warning has to do with the time frame of the actual Hurricane striking and with probabilities of the strike to a given area.
