More from me over at Hockey's Future. The latest is a Hurricanes training camp preview that focuses on the team's prospects and their chances at camp.
As most of us know, Brandon Sutter looks like the only greenhorn that will leave camp with a job in Carolina, but there will be a chance to see some of the other faces in the Canes system. First-round pick Zach Boychuk will be there — though he'll likely be limited to skating-only drills due to offseason wrist surgery — as will hotshot sniper Drayson Bowman. Blueliners Casey Borer and Brett Carson will also be able to make their case to be the first defenseman called up if the need arises. Also, the goalie battle for the starting job in Albany can unofficially begin, with Justin Peters and Daniel Manzato vying for No. 1 duties.
