Canes Country Points - Canes and Lightning on Sunday

Here is another chance to earn some points and get closer to winning free tickets.

I'm going to speed things up just a bit because winners have been few and far between lately. Once again, choose the correct final score and earn 10 points. This time, it doesn't matter which team wins. If you have the correct score, you get the points.

Also, if you correctly guess which team wins, you will earn 10 points, regardless of the final score. If you select both the correct team and the final score, you get 20 points.

This should get things moving.

As always, leave your guesses in the comment section below and they must be posted on or before 3PM on Sunday.

3-1 Canes….These guys won’t drop a fourth in a row. I think the insertion of healing players is shaking things around a bit and the chemistry just needs a chance to settle….for starters.
Coupled with setting the right lines AGAIN and more consistency will come. Reading the N&O today and that Ward points the finger on himself as needing stronger play. I disagree with his comments as the “soft” goals he’s allowed haven’t been that numerous. On the other hand it’s nice to have players more apt to work harder on their individual efforts and game play than point fault at the next guy…. ie-blue line mistakes? Props to Cam for that. Although IMO- game play issues are the lack of production from the team leaders and defensive mistakes at critical times…you name the players if you want but it’s bigger than just one guy.
Lavy can only be so responsible….can’t blame him for poorly timed D man pinches and lack of skating effort, and certainly not finishing checks!! He’s our coach-period. His system works and he’s won the cup to prove it. Don’t fail to see he got things done a hell of a lot quicker than Maurice did. So whether that’s a poor comparison or not he’s a solid coach. Parden my hack job to the cliche’ but “Save the Baby”-we can reheat the bath water.
The youth presence is there as throughout the injury riddled season to this point the Albany staffers have stepped up. That bodes well for player development. So while all Caniacs are pissed off at the past 3 games keep in mind that the team is going through a transition of getting key players back from injury.
While so far, this November seems similar to last seasons slide (Nov-Dec)-the Canes are getting guys back and not loosing them. Remember late last season when Lavy inserted healed players putting starters back on the ice and sent back his successful support crew to Albany? How’d they end up?? Sure a little healthier but knocked out of the playoffs too little too late.
Keep the faith as players are coming back early and this season is long from over-
Go Canes!!
