Bruins at Canes - Game Preview

My apologies for the brief preview:

Cam Ward will start again tonight.

Dennis Seidenberg should return, which means that Wade Brookbank will most likely return to the pressbox.

Ray Whitney has points in five consecutive games.

The Canes have won three in a row at home and are 5-2-3 in their last 10 games. The Bruins have won six in a row, are 9-1 in their last 10, and are an amazing 25-5-4 overall.

The Bruins have not played since Tuesday night while the Canes flew back home early this morning after their tough game in Atlanta. Boston might be a bit rusty though, coming off such a long break.

Ex Hurricane Aaron Ward made the trip but according to Coach Julien, will not play tonight.

The game will not be broadcast locally, but you might be able to watch it online at -

Game time at 7.

We have to grind it out more in our defensive zone!!! We got hammered on the boards and that cost us two goals!!!

It cannot be ignored anymore. Rod is not right. His ice time needs to be reduced. I have been saying this for months. I like the guy…it was very clear if you were there last night. He was struggling to move up the ice in the third period. A team like Boston can exploit a single player weakness and that is exactly what happened. Ray Whitney is – for the season too. This is a case of one guy making another guy worse than he is. I know Rod is making the bucks but …. is it worth missing the playoffs? That is exactly what is going to happen if they do not reduce his ice time. Brandon Sutter is giving more meaningful minutes. This has to be obvious to Ronnie and Mo. You will not win in this league running only 3 good lines. Make the change…..Do it now before it is a lost season. Rod can give you 10 minutes of good hockey. Let him do it on the 4th line.
