River Rats’ Nicolas Blanchard Suspended One Game By AHL

From the AHL offices:

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The American Hockey League today announced that Albany River Rats left wing Nicolas Blanchard has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of his actions in a game vs. Norfolk on Oct. 14. Nick Blanchard: The new Tim Conboy :-P

Anyone find a Video of this yet?

Looks like the cameras missed it. You can see the aftermath here.

Thanks for finding that!

Question for you, Rat Byte:

When Chuck Kaiton called the game here in Raleigh where Nic (Nick?) played, he pronounced his name “Blon- SHARRRD” – Very French. (This is standard for Kaiton – going with the native tongue pronunciation to the extreme.)

However the local guy on this clip goes with standard English “BLAN-churd”. How would young Nick prefer it?

Just wondering.

Let's go Canes!
