Caniacs have to be asking themselves, what else can go wrong? One of their top line forwards was injured in just the second game of the season. They have been missing one defenseman after another all season long. Now a fan favorite has a brain cramp, puts his team in a horrible position, and gets suspended for three games.
Sometimes it's not easy to be a hockey fan. Will the Canes fly home late tonight with some positive vibes after a win, or will this end up being the road trip from hell?

what effect does placing Cole on IR have on getting him back anytime soon? are there any ramifications for this action that are unwanted?

Bob and Cory and probably HM know mor, but I bewlieve it allows for more cxall ups. By being on IR it vacates a spot. I think there is an amount of time you have to be on it and then I guess you get to call up more guys??? So maybe more rats on the way?

The time thimg was what i was concerned about. I thought that was the case also, just couldn’t remember what it was…
Real shot in the dark here I think it’s 10 days. I have no idea why that’s in my head and the rest of the voices in there don’t know either..

It’s seven days (per Wikipedia), but I could swear I’ve seen that “backdated” before when invoked. Still, a week is probably not unrealistic for Cole, so probably no delay in his return.
Lines and D-pairings from CanesNow
Brandon Sutter made it in plenty of time. No. 16 on the ice in pregame … Sutter is centering the third line with Sergei Samsonov and Jussi Jokinen on the wings. …
The other lines remain the same as for the Avs game, with Rod Brind’Amour on Matt Cullen’s line. …
Defensively, it’s Joe Corvo-Nic Wallin, Aaron Ward-Joni Pitkanen, Andrew Alberts-Jay Harrison

I’ve tried. Just kidding.
I was actually in the house for his first “fight”. It was really funny. He was so proud of himself, but I don’t think he threw one punch before the refs separated the two of them.
The kids got sand, he’s a Sutter. I think hes filled his “call up” roll very well in the first.
The guys gotta stop these stupid penalty’s. Thier first 9 shots all came on the PP as well as the goal.

They talked to Sammi at the first intermission and apparently he barely made it on time. Sammi seemed pleased with his hustle and effot and youth. He must be so excited – just what that Canes need: to see this game thru his eyes.

I actually like them split into 2 at 1-minute in each period. Seems like that helps the PK cause it breaks the momentum and setting up the cycle for the team with the advantage.

well we were most penalized after half the season
