Stars’ James Neal Suspended Two Games, Will Miss Canes Matchup

Dallas Stars emerging, um, star James Neal was suspended two games by the NHL for a hit from behind that left Columbus’ Derek Dorsett flopping on the ice like a cartoon character. Neal will miss two home games: Saturday vs. the Devils and Monday against Carolina It is definitely a suspension-worthy offense — it wasn't that different from Tuomo Ruutu's hit on Darcy Tucker that earned the Carolina winger three games in the press box — but unfortunately Hurricanes fans won't get to see Neal against his future team. You see, Neal is a former Plymouth Whaler, therefore future Hurricane. (tongue in cheek)
