Yea I’m a real party terror, 3 aspirin and a drink.
If that’s all the liver has to deal with tonight, it took the night off.
It’s just how many of them Vodka and cranberry fizzzies I pound them down with.
I appreciate the heads up, though.
Hell I used to mix aspirin, acetaminaphin, ibuprphen, etc. all in one jug and chuck several back wjhen I was in need.
I have gotten much better and ain’t dead yet!!

my son finally fits in his rugby canes onesie that we bought him before he was born

I got the pH in my fishtank to 7.0 (perfect today).
And Cam Ward shrimp molted last week (if that’s what you call it for crustaceans). He’s been hiding behind the filter intake, till his new shell hardens…..Ya can’t make this stuff up.

I know a lot of people around here aren’t very high on him, but I think Sergei has played very well the last few games. He’s our best puck handler, skates well and he’s started shooting more recently. Just wanted to give the guy some props…

this is how florida kept us out of the playoffs a few years back, when the game was like 40 -3 shots in our favor but we lost
Look it ain’t much, but this only the second time we have gotten 40 minutes of effort. I’m feeling warm and fuzzy (no not because of the woodstove and a rabbit fur speedo!)

The whole dynamic of the game seems to have changed with Staal out. Not saying Staal was a problem, other than not being able to play up to par due to injury, but just that I believe this is a good thing. Let the team learn how to play without him, and let him come back healthy.
Oh, and as Im sure everyone is saying, Sutter needs more ice time
Couldn’t agree more. If this team can win (or even do well) without Staal, I think it will go a long way towards building their confidence and team morale.
Your right about the confidence. I tried to post the other day from work but for some reason couldnt. It was in response to Cory and someone arguing about the effort level. I beive the canes are giving 100 percent each night. Problem is it takes 110. the extra 10 can only be tapped into by playing with instincts. Instincts go hand in hand with confidence

Ok, they gave up a goal. It’s bound to happen. The key here is how they react. If they really are on the way to turning it around, they won’t deflate.

Suzy Sunshine Moment
Ok let’s not forget some of the good moments we saw from them tonight. This was probably one of the best effort I’ve seen from them this season. There was some chemistry again. Sammy remembered to shoot. We didn’t completely collapse without Staal.
A little more work on the mental side of the game and we’re looking at a different result.
we need a moonshine moment. I understand all the progress but you just cant get shut out. We get shutout seemingly in every other game we play. Effin empty netter while Im sitting here typing! See yall later.

I cannot stand Maurice!!! Atleast with Lavi we scored some freaking goals and the game was halfway entertaining when we sucked.

power plays
can maurice not get the canes to HIRE someone who can teach us offense? we cannot continue being a defensive team only. if we had gotten some in we could have won this. this is stupid. why do we have NO offense? do we EVER practice offensive power plays ever? what the hell do they do at practice? a five year old could figure out what we need to work on. let me go into the locker room and i grew up playing soccer and i’m female. GET YOUR POWER PLAYS DOWN PAT! and score. get it? or we’ll put in the south park characters instead and you’ll be cleaning up sh*t out of latrines.
I dont just blame Maurice, I blame the whole organization. Rutherford also needs to be accountable, Rutherford also needs to answer to placing a sub-par-team on the ice, Rutherford also, is responsible for hiring Mo. I am not saying he is the ultimate problem, but he is ALSO RESPONSIBLE!

they are going to lose so many ticket holders if they don’t hire SOMEONE or pay a consulting fee to someone who can teach us offense. mo cannot. he can only do defense. so pay someone to teach offense now. just do it. don’t fire mo. just pay some guy a consulting fee to show our players….HERE IS HOW YOU SCORE. JR must start making MAJOR changes to this team. Start shopping some players and give Bowman, Boychuk, etc. a chance to gain some NHL experience for next year. Whitney and Walker deserve finishing their careers with a better team than we are right now.

maybe this season
everyone’s decided is the season we FIGURE out the kinks in preparation for NEXT season (yes 2010-2011) being that much better. and mo can shine season 2 and 3 of his new coaching career. otherwise, i think they’ll consider paying his contract and getting someone else in here. i mean we are 30th. how much worse could it get unless we are no longer in the NHL at all?
