Skate Like Staal: Bid On Signed Skates For Charity
Our friend Sean at Canadian Expat Network asked for our assistance in promoting this great cause.
A pair of game-worn Eric Staal skates — signed by the Hurricanes franchise center —is being auctioned off to benefit the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, an organization that offers assistance to people with special needs. The auction runs until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, and the current high bid (as of 84 hours before the end of the bidding) is $350.00, and all proceeds will benefit the Tammy Lynn Center.
Here is a video that explains more:
To read more about the auction, see the pictures of the skates, or place a bid, click here.
Sean also shared an interview he did with Henry Staal, the father of Eric, Marc, Jordan and Jared, that he agreed to share with us. You can view it after the jump.
Again, a big thanks to Sean for sharing all of this with us, and best wished to the Tammy Lynn Center on their auction. It is an opportunity to not only nab a great collectible — perhaps for a special holiday gift — but also help out a worthy cause.

Eh, neat I guess
I’d sooner have Gleason’s…and I think he might have more goals this year so far anyway.
