Cullen, Whitney are rockin’, but looks like Staal is jealous. Easves is playing well….

no kidding – if hell does freeze over and we make the playoffs, we’ll be at the bottom of the pile and we’ll have away-ice advantage… haha

hahahaha amazing babbles breakaway! sadly, thats more of a move than most of the forwards for us would have made
I was just thinking we should have him center that first line…

Excellent- they are one of the worst teams in hockey, and we are winning decisively going into the third. This is exactly what we should be doing if we want to make the playoffs :)

well, the Islanders are much different than the Bruins and Mac Donald looks to be having a rough night

I thought he (Seids) was not looking very good all night, but then he scores…?

i know we have 8 of the last 10 @ home, but is there anyway we can trade some of those for road games
Gleason still ahead with 3 hits
they gave Kaberle 2 hits? sometimes I wonder about these stat guys

easiest way – go to canes website, look underneath the game scoreboard for ‘event summary’

For everyone so baffled about the inconsistency, welcome to the salary cap era NHL. You’ve got 7 or so teams at the top of the league that are consistently good, 7 or so teams at the bottom that are consistently bad, and then everybody else is right there in the middle and you have no idea what you are going to get from night to night.
Isles interloper enters
Okay, Uncle! Uncle! Please, please, take your two points — just leave us Streit and the kids. They have sentimental value.

Howdy. Stress-free game for you all, I see.
Despite the record, the Isles typically put up a little more of a fight than this. I weep for MacDonald’s groin.

I hate to see y’all go down like this.. They are special to me having been born & raised on LI!!! (Not that i want you guys to win!) Ha! Ha!
Nice. This year is one necessary rip of the bandaid.

Not great, I don’t think. Nothing’s been proposed, but sounds like he’s not looking to waive his NTC, and I doubt an offer comes up that makes them bring it up.
Weight was our deadline carrot, but he had to hurt his MCL.

Yeah, Streit’s locked in long-term. He’s going nowhere.

Ouch. Lots of whispers “they” will consider Hedman, though, should they have the choice.

Ha, nice. I saw that home record. Odd.

Hey, you know I think Mo and Gordon (I assume that’s who it is) are having a bad tie contest.

Been watching the Panthers vs Blackhawks game on center ice HD since the Canes game went final, anyone else watching?
Huet just made two absolutely amazing saves on Nathan Horton in a row. Huet is doing his part for the Canes tonight.
nope, watching the ’nucks sens game…
Go Hawks!

Empty net goal for Chicago to go up 3-0 with 4 minutes to go. This one appears to be over and it couldn’t have been a better night for Carolina. Why is it that every time we lose all the teams we need to lose win, but when we win they all lose?
An all-round good night for the canes…
