Live Game Thread - Canes at Coyotes
Carolina Hurricanes at Phoenix Coyotes, Feb 7, 2009 9:00 PM EST
The starting goalies-
Will newbie Jussi Jokinen have an immediate impact? Will he make it to the game on time? I wouldn't expect a police escort to the arena like countryman Tuomo Ruutu received in Raleigh.
Feel free to join in the game chatter in the comment section.

Nothing works for ‘evil’ people today, apparently! My kitchen sink leaks, it rusted through my turkey pan, and my oven is set for 300, but is actually 450 (needless to say my dessert is a little on the done side!)
bad times for evil people….

Brind’Amour has not played the past 2 games, and the team has looked great. coincidence?
by Bob Harwood Waeghe on Feb 7, 2009 11:37 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
yes and no
I think the team has found some spark, but at the same time, Rod’s plus/minus is really telling (read he would have cost us a goal or two, so we would have lost to SJ, but it wouldn’t have mattered tonight – except that it might have changed the dynamics of the game if that goal had come early…)
so maybe my long answer really is a “no coincidence”…
by Andrea's evil twin on Feb 7, 2009 11:41 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
you put some intense thought into that answer..:-)
by Bob Harwood Waeghe on Feb 7, 2009 11:43 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
i think had the philly game ended like this, instead of the major breakdown, this team would be battling with Washington for the division lead. You need some confidence building every now and then

will be interesting to see who has to sit when Walker and Brindy get healthy and what happens with the mojo

by Andrea's evil twin on Feb 7, 2009 11:46 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Mo will have to make that tough call.
If Brindy was 100% healthy, he might not be such a liability
