Here's an interesting tid bit
We have coach Mo that looks to have resurected a Cup team that was doing the old porcelin swirl and brought the team back to play off level. I’d say that is a chip in the the coach of the year hat for sure. Whether you like the guy or not, Lavi lost this team, Mo found it. Other side of the coin is Babcock, take over from the coaching God and continue the dynasty. At this point, I’d say you’d have to say babcock, btw, I don’t see any other coach in this race, these two, right now are the ones, but read the rest and there is room for more…
Anyway, Babcock needs to make the finals and then I think he owns it…unless Mo makes it, then, jezzuz, how do you pick? There isn’t much being said about either of these guys, but both have done a supreme job. It get’s interesting if either falters early, then which coach comes out looking like a genious? Just keeping it simple, is it Osgood, the steady veteran that leads his team or the stellar rookie Ward that makes a repeat at the Cup dance before he’s 25? There’s also the history of the Wings and Canes here over the last say 10 yrs to round it off. Mo was there the first time, took an inferior team all the way until a superior team slammed the door. Still a galant and respectable effort. Anyone else thinking about some of these type of story llines?

Yea, think about it. Say we make the conf. finals and lose, still an amazing turn around. Say we win the conf. finals? He’s gotta be a contender. I dunno, got alot of time on my hands, maybe I’m outta my tree or maybe there is something there. I am surprised no Caniacs have tried hoping on this bandwagon however. Me, Joe pessimist casts the first stone….

I would love for Mo to win COY… but lets just worry about the Devils for now!
