Handbags and Gladrags - Chad LaRose "DITL" Preview
A couple of weeks ago, an NHL Network video crew followed Hurricanes winger Chad LaRose around and filmed another segment for the network's "Day in the Life" series, this time starring LaRose as the featured guest. The popular Michigan native did not disappoint.
The Hurricanes released a preview of the upcoming show on their site this morning, and one of the scenes shows the feisty forward jawwing with Ranger's badboy, Sean Avery.
At one point, LaRose is heard telling Avery to,
"go back to your makeup and handbags!"
Later on he calls Avery "a joke". Funny stuff.
It's no wonder that LaRose is lovingly called the "Chuck Norris of Hockey" by his most loyal subjects.
The feature is scheduled to be shown on the NHL Network at the following times:
- Thursday, April 2, 7PM
- Friday, April 3, 7:30PM
- Saturday, April 4, 4PM
- Monday, April 6, 7:30PM

I’m sooooooo sick of hearing about Avery. This is just what he wants. Send him and AO off to their own little island. Punk Asses.
I agree, but SOME talent, try IMMENSE talent. I was able to work for Comcast SportsNet up in DC and got to see and hear a lot about Ovechkin the person and he’s just a funny kid who loves playing hockey. Gotta respect that!
Saying that, though, somebody better put a rockin’ on Avery tomorrow night! I’m sick of this guy! Anyone catch him on Versus Monday refusing to fight?? Gleason, Conboy, you listening?

Nice!!
I love the fact that the Canes benefit from a couple of Michigan boys-LaRose and Gleason. This Oakland County(MI) transplant enjoys the way these two guys work for this hockey club. Nothing like the old blue collar work ethic. Hate to coin a phrase but LaRose is the prize example of Not the size of the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog. Can’t wait for the smack to hit tomorrow.
Great TV
Yeah, thanks Bubba. Really funny stuff! Can’t wait for the full version
