Brind'Amour Misses Practice
Chip Alexander at Canes Now is reporting Rod Brind'Amour sat out today's practice, and speculated he may be missing it due to a hit he took in last night's series opener.
Jussi Jokinen has taken his spot between Sergei Samsonov and Patrick Eaves. Eaves replaces Scott Walker, who moves to the fourth line with Tim Conboy and Game 1 scratch Dwight Helminen.
Matt Cullen, who looked no worse for wear after missing eight games to end the regular season, was back to his normal spot on the second line with Ray Whitney and Chad LaRose.

I think I got hurt in that game too. It was just…….sad, I think maybe their goal was to get into the playoffs but not actually win. NYI would of played better than that. Was our defense trying to be the worse defensive squad in the playoffs. I bet everyone who picked the Canes to win this matchup is having second thoughts. Disgusted! Looked like the bad news bears of hockey.
I just hope they leave their evil twins at home next time….
Oh…. and it would help if they would move their feet!!!
Come tailgating w/ us on Sunday!

Ummm…… WTF?
Ok… wait… is this a joke? You meant the team in ‘06 was arguably better…. right? This years team couldn’t even sit in the same dressing room w/ the team in ’06! Not a chance!

Tom Gulitti, who works for The Record, says over at his blog Fire & Ice that Brind’Amour was walking around gingerly but Maurice said he’d play tomorrow.

Fantastic news, maybe. We all saw how long it took Brind’amour to hit his stride this season, hopefully getting a little dinged up didn’t derail his resurgence.
I hope not…. he was really playing well up until last week…..
