Hurricanes Newsstand — April 6

The Hurricanes clinched a playoff berth for the first time since the 2005-06 season with their overtime win Saturday over Pittsburgh. The team's focus is now on a battle for fourth place in the Eastern Conference and first-round home ice advantage.

Away from the NHL, the River Rats' slide continues and Carolina's CHL prospects have a rough weekend in the semifinals of the playoffs.

I don;t know why they keep running that stupid article. 2 line pass is a talentless clown. You know at least when Wysh pokes fun at you, it is done with some wit and entertainment value.

The last time I checked, Cam Ward didn’t score goals for the team, but what do I know? (shrugs)

He has been unbelievable over this stretch run. Maybe he will score next game

When people post something like that it shows that have not done their homework and they lose all credibility. Cam Ward certainly has had an amazing stretch and no doubt has increased our chances, but to say that he is the only reason is just way off base.

Whatever, they do it just to irritate the Canes fans at this point. At least that is what I hope it is, because if it is just an oversight, then yes, they are stupid and Cam is a major reason, but not the only reason.

I honestly don’t care if Cam Ward is the ONLY reason we are in… (although we all know that is not true)

The fact is: We’re In!!! And there are a lot of teams that don’t need to over look us…..

Hello, this is a feature that will run through the entire season and aims to recap the weekend’s events and boils those events down to one admittedly superficial fact or stupid opinion about each team. Feel free to complain about it.
