Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

Laviolette Says that Canes have "Outplayed Boston"

This is from the game 7 preview in TSN-

"Carolina has outplayed Boston for the better part of every game in this series, even if they didn't get the win at the end of the night," says Laviolette. "Their game seems to be a little more dominant than Boston's. But the prevailing factor that leads me to think that Carolina might be successful in Boston is that they are Game 7 ready. They are 3-0 in Game 7s. They are capable of going out and playing a big game on the road. They've done it before. They did it against New Jersey in the first round."

Welcome back to the fold, Lavi!

Hmmm. Trying to win back the affection of his neighbors in Raleigh after his less favorable prediction picking Canes to lose to NJ a month ago? (Speaking of neighbors – how old are A-Ward’s kids in Cary – hope they were oblivious to the circus playing out with their dad this past Mon and Tues)

My kids play in the house leagues out of Raleigh, and Peter was with us at a couple Mite games (not coaching) in January at Wake Forest. (not that I’m unique in the area, but my 9 yr old has played games with Walker, Brindy’s and Wallin’s son. My peewee boy with young Forslund, Francis and Wesley kids. Nick Wallin showed up at a squirt game at Wake one Sat between games 5 and 6 of the NJ series.

Must be why I feel so connected to them in a hockey mom sort of way. They are so accessible to the community. Sorry if I get a little soupy.

Why are we still listening to him? He’s gone. Thanks for the Cup run, that was a great season, but enough already. We wouldn’t be advancing to the Conference Finals if Lavi was still around, so thanks for the comments and your opinion, but we’ll take it from here.

Hey don't be too harsh on Lavi...

don’t forget he’s the one who activated the defense. Maurice (back then) was a restrictive defense-first coach. The new Maurice has opted to stay with his predecessors active defense.
