can we do this? [poll]

hurricanes looked good (imo) last night minus some bad turnovers and a few scary flurries in there own end that seemed to snowball.

im thnking as i go into my weekend that carolina seems to be missing a few key parts.  this is only echoing sentiments detailed all week by bubba and cory. but i cant help but wonder which player is most affecting the canes?

which underachieving player do you think is most important to get their groove back in order to win this series?

poll ends thursday.

Underachieving

As you may well know we played the Bruins 4 times during the regular season and we did not win a single game. not even close. So I guess you could say in a word the whole team is underachieving

Although that is true, I believe we are not nearly the same team we were when we played Boston earlier this year, that being said I think there are a few players that are “overachieving” or trying their best to (LaRose, Gleason, Jokinen). I will agree that our best players need to be our best players, Cole being top on my list to step up. Cole helped us get to the playoffs but hasn’t shown much since. Cullen is still fighting injury, Eaves just sucks and the rest need to step up. I would not say the team as a whole is underachieving, if that were the case we wouldn’t be where we are today.

add Bayda to that “overachieving” list. Bayda has been our best and most consistent player this post season in my opinion

he does need to be on the list! (but I might argue the best player in the post season)

ok… our best player has been Ward. Jussi and Bayda are tied for second.

Ward, GLEASON, Jussi, LaRose, and then, BAYDA

true, the motto still holds:
when staal scores we win…

I’ve said all along when could keep winning in the playoffs along as we don’t have to play Boston. For some reason they just have our number. I’m trying to stay positve but I don’t see the Canes going to the next round.

re canescup/bobby

I say I must agree with you I don’t see the canes going to the next round either. I wish that were not so but I am afraid it is.

Staal and Cole need to get a move on. I think Babs just needs a little push to get going.
