Minus-1 To TSN For Photo Choice

TSN has a story today about the NHL's general managers deciding against implementing a "shot to the head" rule. While Patrice Bergeron may be the unfortunate poster boy for head injuries, the chosen photo was not the result of a questionable headshot.

How do we know? Well, the photo was taken following a collision between Carolina's Dennis Seidenberg and Bergeron in late December, with the Bruins' forward initiating the contact. Here's the clip:

While this is surely just a case of careless editing, it's definitely worth clearing up.

This is so off topic that I should probably be hit…. or something…. it looks like they are taking the jumbotron apart at the RBC Center

That’s fun!

They are … putting the new one up in the coming weeks. You can closely follow progress at Canes Vision’s blog.

I wonder what they’ll do w/ the Sony Jumbotron(s) that were up….

I mean…. I’m not asking for much here…. but I’m in the market for a bigger television ;-)

CanesVision is going completely HD this summer. They started tearing out the old control roon as soon as the season was over and now they are installing the new jumbo tron. I think they announced that towards the beginning of the season, not sure though…..old age and all :)

how come every TSN article I read, Bob McKenzie is doing voiceover in my head?

I miss how his entries on the site used to end with “for TSN, I’m Bob McKenzie.”

lol

I would care about this I guess if there were any Canes players in the picture, but seeing as how Bergeron is lying sprawled out on the ice like this once every few months, I guess I don’t really care which picture they use.

Slow news days, these are … I’m taking what I can get. ;)

That being said, it was the first thing I thought when I saw the pic, b/c I knew it wasn’t he one from his original serious concussion.

I’m shocked they didn’t use the one of Aaron Ward laying on the ice after Scott Walker decked him….

Now THIS...

Is the hard-hitting journalism I’ve come to expect from CC. ;)
