Frank Kaberle Officially Bought Out
The Carolina Hurricanes completed the expected buy out of Frantisek Kaberle today. The team released this statement.
"This move is part of our effort to restructure the Hurricanes’ defense to become bigger and more physical," said Jim Rutherford. "We thank Frank for his contributions to the Hurricanes, especially the game-winning goal in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2006."
Good luck to "Frank the Tank", and thanks for the Stanley Cup memories.

Ciao
Major bummer.
If money's the root of all evil then why do so many
churches brow beat their members for more?
Sorry to see him go
But this is likely the best option for Frank as far as playing significant time in the NHL this season. It wasn’t going to be here, and now with the buyout money guaranteed he could take a cheap flyer from another team.
Say “Zdrastvuytiye!” to the KHL, Frank. He wasn’t great over the past few seasons, but he’ll always be able to say, “I scored the goal that won the Stanley Cup.” How many people can put that on a resume?
I’m going to go with over a hundred. Lol. (But still a nice line on his resume

Kabs should be able to play for somebody this year.
Good luck to him.
Remember, kids...don't ever let facts get in the way of your argument.
I am bummed by this move...
now no one will be asking me if I am the other Kaberle brother..
Just kidding, thanks for the memories Frankie, we wouldn’t have won the cup w/o you!

Good bye an good luck !!
Hey Franky K, has not been the same since the cup season may that is due to injury or lack of playing time or both ?? Who knows but it is a move that had to be done, especially with all of our young d-men in AHL waiting in the wings for a shot.
Good move JR, keep them coming.
GO CANES !!!!
