Cory – this is great. Please link this to the “Canes Country Ultimate Fans’ Guide: 09-10 Edition” . (still waiting for the beta version of that..)
Do you expect this entire crew at training camp this year? (that is, in 13 days !!) Other than the college kids of course.
Let's go Canes!

I think it’s great that the Canes have so many D men ranked among their best prospects…Numbers 4, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, and 20. I believe this bodes well for the blue line in the future. There’s some size, there, too, Domoulin and Carson are 6’ 3" and 6’4", and McBain is 6’2".
I’m a little baffled about Boychuk being our number one prospect, ahead of Sutter. Still a neophyte at this — is he a Ray Whitney-type? Glad, too, to see Paradis at number 7.
Boychuk has more “star” potential then Sutter. Sutter has the potential to be another “Rod the Bod” minus the “Bod”

Cory, On Peters and Murphy….
“While many view Peters — the bigger, more technical of the two — as the favorite to land the backup job with the Canes in 2010-11, Murphy’s never-give-up style and impressive junior resume give him a shot at moving to the top of the goalie prospect pecking order.”
“The 2009-10 season will be a make-or-break one for Peters.”
Whos your pick, who ends up backing Cam next year?
Surely Murphy is too good (if he maintains his play in the higher levels) to be JUST a backup to Cam… I think he could well be some good trading material once he’s proven himself at AHL level… just throwing that out there =P
Not so fast......
We may need him sooner rather than later if Cam develops a chronic back issue. Hope not but nice to have two good solid prospects.
You can’t really know until someone wins the job this year in Albany. I think if Murphy overtakes Peters, they might want him playing a lot of games in Albany for a couple seasons. Who knows … they could platoon this year. I feel like Peters will get a chance to be the No. 1 this year and, if he plays well enough, will be the backup next year. Then Murphy can move into the No. 1 Albany job in 2010-11.

Makes sense, but I just dont ever really see or hear anything about Peters. Murphy’s got a good bit of hype around him right now, and I think if he clearly takes the starting job off the bat in albany, has a good year, he may make too good of a case for himself. But he is still very young and you never know what level a player will reach before he reaches his ceiling. Should make for a good battle and push Peters to be better. Albany’s gonna contend this year.
My Bet is on Murphy
If Murphy wins the AHL job this year and performs well; I see him as Cam’s backup next year. I’m hoping this would allow Cam some normal rest time instead of playing 135 games in a row. Not saying it would have made a difference or not, but maybe the Pitt series would have gone a different direction.
I do see that Murphy may become a huge trade chip if he continues to develop.
Barrasso
One things sure: TB will have a lot of say (maybe the final say) on our goalie situations.
His evaluation will determine who plays where, and how much. That said, does anyone
know if he’s voiced his opinions, ideas, or concerns on the subject?
