Rutherford: Canes set on defense
Hadn't seen this mentioned here, but this article quotes Rutherford as saying that we will definitively trade Babchuk and will not sign Seidenberg. In other roster construction news, Brendan Shanahan (who some had considered for a fourth-line spot here) has signed with NJ.

Chip’s back. I count 5 posts this week from him at Canes Now.
I also thought that there would be a smaller number of players (only 40-44) invited to Training Camp was worth noting…
I liked Luke’s very bloggy-style post from Monday linking stories and youtube videos like a regular Puck Daddy. Either they’ve finally warmed up to the power of the internet over there (or their bosses allowed them to display it) or they’re building a portfolio to ask Bubba for a job.
(Sorry – not to be mean – they’re both great writers/reporters and I look forward to their stories – but, they’re unfortunately just stuck in an antiquated media which is barely managing to stay solvent)
