Eric Staal Wired for Practice
NHL.com has some video of Eric Staal during a recent practice. Is he ready for primetime?
There is a lot more video of the Canes today at NHL.com including Cam Ward highlights

Think he was saying that Brindy was the most fit guy tested this year.

Really? My take was that he said that with sincerity (and a little awe, surprise, relief).

Eric was definitely being sarcastic, I didn’t know he could be so funny, most be hanging out with Ray.
Seems like an odd thing to have the team’s Star centerman ridiculing his team captain’s fitness (age?) to the team’s 2nd line center on an NHL.com video. Doesn’t add up.. Maybe on Puck Daddy, but not from that source…

That video doesn’t hold a candle to Rosey’s Day in the Life (nothing does), but that’s probably the most personality I’ve ever seen from him.
I hope you’re joking the Rosie special was the worst ‘Day in the Life’ episode and I’ve seen them all. They didn’t show you his daily routine like the rest of the players. It showed him sitting in the locker room for half the show. Joking Avery was funny but thats all I can say about that episode.
Nope, wasn’t joking at all. I honestly thought it was really entertaining and that they basically got Chad’s day down pat. For most guys, the game day routine is pretty much standardized and other than cutting out his pre-game nap, I thought they hit all the high points.
WOW!
Do you grow your own or do you but it from someone, cause you are the only one I’ve heard say it was good (again except for the Avery jokes). Maybe I just thought Whitney would’ve been better.
Maybe I should ask you the same question-you’re the first person I’ve come across who didn’t like it. :)
if he’s your back-up, then you’re in trouble. AP wants tomorrow night’s roster of under-22’s to become the permanent line-up, except he’d like to add in Bowman and McBain for Whitney and A Ward.

HUNGER=DOMINANCE!
Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

Eric
Keep going Eric gotta get in top shape for a long season
robert
Can you imagine anyone more different from Ovechkin?
In the best possible way that is. (And I admit I am entertained by Ovie’s exuberance, but it’s gotta be distracting for the rest of the team – on and off the ice). Staal’s kidding the coach to “watch your language…. cause little kids listen to this stuff” – to AWard. Precious! There’s a father-to-be, looking ahead.
