Around SBN: Leandro Damiao Is Still Really Good

Founding members getting their tickets delivered today are in luck

One of the Principals at my firm is a founding member of the season ticket holders.  His tickets were being hand delivered to him today.  Who dropped them off you ask?  Why none other than Rod Brind'Amour!  I'll post a pic in a second, if I can figure it out.  Anyway, if you're getting tickets hand delivered today, or know some one who is, you want to be there.  It's well worth it.

Let me guess, after this pic was taken – he took off because he’d had enough of the suddenly elevated creepiness level in that office. He was muttering something along the lines of “this dude just wouldn’t shut up about me coming to his tailgate party and some shitty grill of his”… right?

He also told me to stop asking about what Chad LaRose’s favorite meals were.

Check out the hair and the hurley shirt.

Actually, I’m dying to know if you could feel Rod’s (world-famous) biceps with his arm resting on your shoulder like that, but I’m afraid you’ll think that’s both offensive and inappropriate. (Just thinking about 19 pull ups). Where’s a girlfriend when you need her?

It’s like you’re reading my mind HM!

On a more related note, this could be the coolest thing ever. I loved this idea when I saw the Pens do it and I think it’s a great way to show longtime season ticket holders some appreciation.

Cool hair, Rod.

Some people just don’t get old in style well.

Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

In "hair like that" years...

It’s ancient.

It was pretty exciting here around the office. There’s only a couple of Canes fans here, but we were all quite excited. It’s not a bonus, but as far as perks go, it was right up there, even if it was unintentional.

The question is was ir "right up there" like with your wedding day when you were announced "husband and wife"? Or Better?

OK I hope as your friend, one of your tailgate partners, season ticket holder neighbor, that you did mention my name to Brindy. Tell me you did CL, because you know I’m his biggest fan, I don’t ever recall seeing you in a Brindy jersey like you have me. Are you going to Friday’s game so I can touch your arm, DON"T WASH IT! Could you breathe? I’m so greeeeen right now,

C, of course I mentioned you. Brindy mentioned to me that he was frightened of his feelings for you. He said that while he could go out and do battle on the ice night in and night out he was afraid to admit his feelings given the divorce. I did hear him mumble something about wishing to just be a love slave, but I couldn’t hear if he said your name of HockeyMomOf2, or caniacgirl.

I can fill you in on all the details tomorrow night.

That’s a new twist. Actually, I’m waiting for the STH whose tickets were delivered by my favorite Finnish Puck Lion to share whether Ruuts has finally decided his heart belongs to me or LTD. And CG is all about Sweetie-pie Sutter these days – where have you been?

Sweetie-pie Sutter-I like it. I’ve called him Butter since he first came on the Raleigh scene, but that has a certain ring to it.

And our captain can be heard live on 850 the Buzz at 5:25pm according to one of the 3 dozen tweets that popped up today. (Staal tomorrow at 3pm? on 99.9)

In case you missed it, NBC 17 taped Staal delivering tickets downtown.

Kind of a bummer the guy’s not even there!

I like where Staal introduces himself like he’s interviewing for a job. Not quite like Crosby and the Grammy giving him a big smooch.

We had our season tickets delivered today by Cam Ward. Chrissy was interviewed by CanesVision but doesn’t know if or when they will be aired.
