Carolina Players Deliver Season Tickets to a few Lucky Fans

Carolina Hurricanes forward Chad LaRose always has something to say. (photo by LTD)

As C-Leaguer first reported here last week, a few Hurricanes players were out delivering season tickets on September 17th.  The club recently released a video showing some of the deliveries and of course Chad LaRose stole the show.

At one home, a fan asked  LaRose if (the Canes) made him wear his jersey even while out riding around.  Number 59 replied "All the time, I wear this everyday!"

Another man told LaRose that he was the reason the fan renewed his season tickets, to which LaRose turned to the cameraman and said, "All right, get that on camera!"

Catch the video at the link.

I don’t think I’ve seen him wear a different one for a very long time. Maybe a good luck charm?

And you would be the one to ask…..

I don’t whether to be offended or flattered. :)

Please! As Randy Jackson would say – you know I got big love for you, girlfriend. I consider you a great and reliable source for this kind of tidbit…(I mean it was a guy who felt like Wardo’s cap was worth noting…. no one’s accusing him of anything inappropriate)

BTW – Don’t know if she put any photos up yet, but I was sitting with LTD at rinkside yesterday. There were a few non-action moments with #30 that would have caused your heart to skip a beat (in a good way). And that’s not even including the moment when Ruutu skated up to LTD with recognition and gave her the nod and THE smile through the glass. I do not lie. That boy sure knows how to bring out the giddiness in a pair of middle-aged mothers. And for the record, LTD is not a stalker. She gives her time and talent to perform a valued service for Caniacs everywhere.

Let's go Canes!

Well thank you HM, I appreciate that. :)

The smile and the nod? That is something-I’ve gotten that combination from less…enjoyable sources, so consider yourselves lucky. I did find a whole new series of Brandon shots last night which I greatly enjoyed (thank you LTD-we all know you aren’t a stalker), but I didn’t see any heart skipping Wardo shots. I’ll keep checking back though.

LOL

Thanks for protecting my rep!

Sorry I’m way behind on photos because I keep taking more instead of working on what I already took. Expect me to be mostly caught up after the weekend including today’s pregame skate and tonight’s game. I did try to prioritize taking and posting some shots of the call-ups since I figured they would be sent down after the weekend and we wouldn’t see them again (still kinda shocked Boychuk was sent down already). In the meantime, heads up there are a couple (IMO) pretty good shots of Wardo in the Caniac Carnival practice album if you want to check ’em out.

Sounds like all three of you.....

would like a little “Jose Corvo” to come on by for a little pick you up.

I love Chad. It’s bordering on stalking. And I never want him to retire. That said, I can’t wait for him to do that and get a job in the booth. Hopefully push Tripper out or to a permanent location between the benches.

Embrace big ideas!

This could be the coolest promotion this team has done in a long time. I hope it becomes a regular thing.

Chad Larose

Chad is a good Hockey player. I hope he is around for a long time. Too many times the good plays of the not so noticed get overlooked. He will do us proud this season.

great job

Great job by the Canes and their marketing/community outreach people. And kudos to the players for taking part.

The look on that little girl’s face when Chad LaRose was waiting outside the orthodontist’s office was absolutely priceless. And I’m glad that dog warmed up to Cam quickly.

Going all the way back to the days in Greensboro, when a group of players would always stop by on gamedays at coffeeshop where i worked, to load up on lattes (never considered those a sports supplement), I was always amazed at how nice, approachable and considerate to the fans/general public these guys were.

Went to my first ever Canes game in Greensboro using tickets that Adam Burt gave me.
Had been a casual hockey fan for a while, but I was hooked as a Canes fan from that point on.

ADAM BURT!!! That’s a name I have not heard in forever. He always makes me think of Robert Kron.

Haha...

I wonder if our ladies would have wanted to keep Roddy too.

Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

This lady would have given him back. But I know quite a few who wouldn’t. :)
