Dwyer, Boychuk, Carson, Picard, Osala all played quite well
It was impressive that the young guys all played great. I don’t include Sutter because he is already NHL top tier; but if he is considered a young player, he too, played great. The Hurricanes do need Staal to step it up again. Boychuk is getting better and better each game. Picard is doing great. Carson has to take on Ovechkin and Semin and did an excellent job. I also really liked how Osala played — particularly considering he didn’t even get to practice with the Hurricanes.
Bright side!
None of our ex-Canes scored on us. Although there at the end I was a little worried that it was going to be Belanger.
