Boychuk as Healthy Scratch (in Hindsight and in Foresight)
I really disagreed with having 7 defensemen and scratching Boychuk. The Hurricanes in general need all the speed and grit they can get. Boston should have been tired from the back to back and Boychuk is just too fast for them to cover. I would have put Harrison in the press box well before Boychuk.

Pothiers Miscue Ended Any Chance of Winning the Game; and Probably Any Playoff Hopes
Pothier has been playing extremely well; but that one give-away pretty much sank the Hurricanes’ tiny chances of a play-off run. Unfortunately, Legace had perhaps his worst game as a Hurricane. The timing of their let-downs couldn’t have been worse.

My thoughts on the last 2 periods (I didn’t see the 1st). The O has hit a snag. Everything that was going right for an extended period of time is not working now. Staal is doing nothing, he needs to get his ass in gear! The D looked confused. They were not playing together tonight. Pitkanen pinched on 2 of Boston’s goals. The first pinch, he had Sutter falling back, but then Sutter skated his way out of position and a defenseman scored an easy goal. Manny was not on tonight. The rest of the team didn’t help, but he let in some bad goals.
All in all, this was our the season. 10 points back with 13 games left, its certainly over now. They need to use the remaining games to see the kids. I actually hope that Toronto goes on one amazing streak and we can somehow get the number 2 pick. I want Seguin!

So imagine my surprise when I found a text message saying I was being blamed for the catastrophe on ice that I just witnessed. Then imagine the hurt I felt when I learned it was Paladin, Sandbagger and canescup spreading such vicious lies. I am willing to take the blame for many things, but not them losing the past two games.
If anyone is to blame, I think it’s Paladin. I met him on Saturday and we got shut out. And now? We lost to Boston. Clearly he stole my good luck and/or gave me some sort of angry curse.

No – y’all can blame this one all on me. My office is in Boston, I work remotely from NC. Yesterday I bragged to them about the Try-out for the ’Canes thingy we got at the Casino Night. Then today I just had to rag on them about how the Bruins were going down tonight.
I think I’ll call in sick tomorrow.
Oh – and all you Cole bashers can SUCK IT! He was one of the best players on the ice tonight.
