Around SBN: Josh Hamilton Reportedly Seen Drinking In Dallas Bar

Who will you miss most?

It seemed inevitable by November that many longtime Hurricanes would be dangled as trade bait for those teams still in contention. It is not a fun part of the game, but trades need to be made. With much of the old guard moving on, Carolina gets an opportunity to rebuild on the shoulders on Eric Staal, Cam Ward, Tim Gleason, and Joni Pitkanen.

That being said, of the players dealt away this year, which 'Canes will YOU miss the most? Feel free to share in the comments as well.

I was going to vote for AWard but I’d think anyone would believe me.

Scotty

got to love the fire.

If the guys and gals who brought you the financial meltdown deserve big bonuses, where do I sign up?

Yup. For me it wasn’t even a question.

I voted for Cullen. But I’m also going to miss Walker, Corvo, and Alberts. I thought Alberts would be a good building block heading forward. It’s going to be tough cheering for some select Caps, I would have liked if Walker and Corvo went to a team with less bad blood. Ah well, Good luck to them all! (cept for Cullen, tonight only)

Nic Wallin.
Not the highest scoring guy on the list. Or even runner up.
But for me, over the years, he meant more to the team, and provided more memories than anyone else.
No doubt.

Scotty Walker: the new scoring demon for the Washington Capitals. Check this out: Game summary for his first Game as the Caps #24

+2, with 2 goals, 7:33 TOI, and 1st star of the Game. One tweeter called him “Walker: Verizon Ranger”. Another was “Scotty Walker: Red Label”. They’re in love. I’m so excited for him!

Olympian Tim Gleason in Vancouver: "I don’t care what anybody says, to watch an exciting hockey game, there’s nothing like it."

Do you remember the last time Scotty looked this happy? I seem to remember a night in May when he brought Boston to their knees and Raleigh to their feet. That man (and his family) deserves all the good things in the world.

The sight of that truely bothers me

I bought my Walker jersey as soon as he came to the Canes, and thats all I wore before I bought my Gleason.

I too am happy for scotty…and hopefully ( steve says with all fingers & toes crossed) he stays healthy and IF the caps get into the finals…He may just get that elusive ring…I noticed scotty & corvo got their old numbers there too…so not hard to look out for either…enjoy the weather folks…

Relax !! Even Micro Wave Popcorn takes time !! Go Canes !!

Representing

Good to have the “former Canes” performing so well for their new teams. Reflects well on the org in general.

Especially Scotty’s GWG for his second of the evening. He was also part of a critical penalty kill earlier in the game, when one of his teammates was stickless. Got to have endeared himself to both the locker room and the fan base with that debut.

Similarly earning his keep in his debut, Ottawa needed “former Cane” Matt Cullen to break Manny’s shutout last night.

Way to represent, guys.

I really miss Cullen, but I think there’s a little more of a chance that he could some day be a Hurricane again, so I voted Scotty.
