With Joni Pitkanen injured, the Canes have recalled the defenseman. Here's the release from the Hurricanes:
HURRICANES RECALL TIM CONBOY FROM ALBANY
Defenseman will be available to play in tonight’s game against Montreal
RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled defenseman Tim Conboy from Albany of the American Hockey League (AHL). Conboy will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Montreal Canadiens at the RBC Center.
Conboy, 28, played in 11 games with the Hurricanes this season before being assigned to Albany on Nov. 18. In 35 games with the River Rats this season, the Minneapolis, MN, native had earned three assists and totaled 62 penalty minutes. Signed as a free agent on July 21, 2006, Conboy has totaled six assists and 119 penalty minutes in 58 career NHL games with the Hurricanes.

Every time I see Tim Conboy I get that Queen song “Stone Cold Crazy” stuck in my head.
He probably will not fight due to the fact he is coming off of a bad head injury….
May we please Trade Staal???

According to the main website Conboy is in for Joni. Our Defense will finally be 100% different than the opening day roster. My guess at lines:
Pothier – McBain
Rodney – Carson
Conboy – Harrison
5 Rats and a guy we traded for. Since our team defies logic we will probably end up shutting them out, while holding them to 15 shots.
hehehe...+2
so do I !! but Conboy has been working hard and fighting harder to get back and do well on the ice after getting injured a while back..I can almost see him with harrison…and if i was Tom Rowe, i’d give your line up a shot there JussiJuice…ifvyou are going to the game..have fun & be safe…
" Chadness" is contagious ! Go Canes !!
