So, is anybody else a season ticket holder in the Upper Goal Zone? Well, as you probably now know, the organization has "contracted" the upper goal zone to only two sections (down from 4) in each end. If you sat in one of the outer two sections, you are now in Upper Goal Corner North or South, and they have nearly doubled the price.
Essentially, even though we are longtime season ticket holders, who supposedly locked in our prices for 3 years by buying playoff tickets last year, they have told us that we have to move to another section or pay double to keep our old seats. Personally, I think this sucks. They have told us that this is perfectly "legal" because they only guaranteed the price, not the location. Nevermind that one of the perks to being a full STH is that you are supposed to be able to keep the same seats every year. In our case, we had front row seats in our section. The best available seats left that we can get in the same price range are about 5 or 6 rows up from the front row in the 2 middle sections. There is no guarantee that we can even get those, as we will have to go to a select-a-seat event and compete with whoever else may want them.
At the game, a group of us (affected full STH's) went down to talk to the ticket reps and complain about this, because we feel it is BS to do this to us. They were very defensive and arrogant and basically told us we were stupid and to go *%&$ ourselves (paraphrasing here).
I love hockey. I love the team. But I HATE this organization. I could probably write a book about all the ways they have treated myself (and various other STH's I know) like sh*t over the years. It is one thing after another and almost always involves wanting more $$$. And 8 out of 10 times I have ever had to deal with someone on staff, it has been unpleasant.
Is anyone else here getting screwed by this policy?
