Capitals reportedly part ways with Corvo, Walker, Morrison

Not like I'm particularly surprised by this, but according to TSN, the Capitals have decided to part with Joe Corvo, Scott Walker, and Brendan Morrison

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals announced on Tuesday that they will not bring back forwards Brendan Morrison andScott Walker, and defenseman Joe Corvo.

Caps part with Corvo, Walker, Morrison

Now the question is...where do they end up?

*requisite adding of 9 words* Ready for the draft party? :)

totally surprised but what is somewhat shocking was Morrison…many of us here knew that Corvo & scotty were going to nothing but rentals…but still …sorta sucks…if i was scotty I’d try nashville as they seemed to like him alot in recent history…and Joe Corvo should try knocking on either Montreal’s door or Tampa Bay’s…but those are nothing more than just a hopeful guess work on my part

That’s funny. My friend is a Montreal fan, and he said “We should try and get Corvo”. Right about the time you posted this too. LOL.

Hey Tachi

i said that because of the way Montreal played in the playoffs. I personally think if Joe were to go…he’d fit in…as he can get pretty intence as the fans there are…what a motivation that would be…hehehe…catch ya later…

The only problem with Montreal is that Corvo wasn’t a big fan of the fish bowl that was Ottawa, and Montreal is worse. He could fit in well there and mentor PK Subban, but I’m not sure it’s the type of place he wants to be.

I just wish JR would have given up Ray Whitney for Lent.

Corvo

I have wondered if the Hurricanes might make a pitch for Corvo. He likes it hear and there is something of poetic justice if Whitney’s agent convinces him to move on and Corvo’s agent convinces Corvo to return using the money allocated for Whitney.

I predict Corvo ends up in Atlanta. Just a feeling.

I think Atlanta is kind of set. Off the top of my head Tobias Enstrom and Zach Bogosian will quarterback the PP and move the puck, and I think they have someone else too (Kubina? Maybe UFA). Atlanta maybe, but I can’t see why (nor why not).
