Does anyone who frequents this blog...

...and lives in the area play hockey? Ice, inline, or street? If so, is there (or has there) been any interest in an informal game / open hockey get together or creating a Canes Country league team - even a "learn to play" team? (Wouldn't a Canes Country jersey look sharp cruising up & down open ice?) My season has ended, and am always looking to get in on a game. I am also curious as to how many fans actually play, and how many are transplants like myself who brought a passion to play along with them from a more "traditional" market.
