July 2nd UPDATE: Well, it's pretty close, but it seems "The Boys of Winter" by Wayne Coffey is our selection for July. It is available on Kindle. Please check in with your local library or book seller to see if it is available there.
I'll aim to put up the discussion post around July 26th. And then we can choose between the titles below (adding in "Tropic of Hockey" ) for the next one. Enjoy your summer puck reading!
While many of you may still be enjoying (or working through) Ken Dryden's classic, The Game, it's time to get the next Puck Readers 2010 book selected. I looked back on the poll from last month and the following books received votes or rave reviews. If you want to comment about why you think readers should choose a book, that would be awesome - and appreciated. Just check the comments for additional insight before voting, if you aren't sure.
If you want me to add another option for next month, that's also the place to do it.
The poll will close next Friday, July 2, at noon, to give people who were looking for some reading over the 4th of July holiday to pick up the book of choice. Draft and free agent talk won't last forever, unfortunately, so maybe the icey reading will keep you cool and your hockey fix supplied, as we wait out the summer for October's arrival.
I'm thinking July 26th will be the day I'll post the discussion, giving us over 3 weeks, and leaving time for one more in August.
