Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

Martin Brodeur's greatest moment

I never realized Marty was mic'd up on this play.

A little Canes hockey memories for the faithful.  We were at this game.   Awesome.  MMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This team is going to make more memories folks.  I am starting to get warmed up for the season.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR....

I don't like Brodeur's smug little can do attitude.  Bad winner..............yep....

Feel free to add to this hilarious video with any that you feel represent our franchise.

NHL rule number 69 goaltender interference

I guess this makes the announcer a homer
And Brodeur an idiotic crybaby. That is unless Jussi was born with eyes in the back of his head too….

I can honestly say that

the main reason I stuck through this crappy year was because of the shock at the rock.

I remember Jokinen scoring the equalizer and jumping for joy.

Then the next moment Staal scores. I leap from the chair start running around screaming. I seriously had chest pains from the adrenaline rush i was so excited.

I would glady give up a decade of playoff appearances for that one moment in Carolina Hurricanes history.

Well said

Keep the nitro close by thus season. Loads of talent just not sure where they will be going. Alka seltzer too….

I sat on the sofa moping about the season being over, not even wanting to watch the next couple seconds of the game. Then Jussi scored, then Staal. I think I woke up the entire neighborhood screaming. Next thing I knew we were in the car heading to the airport to welcome the team home.

And then, we got to do that all over again in a little over a week when Walker’s goal won the series with Boston.

I can’t wait until this season starts! I anticipate it being the same kind of roller-coaster ride as a fan, but it’s better than no ride at all!

"The increase in pain is way beyond what you would expect a person to play with," said coach Paul Maurice. "Unfortunately it’s even beyond what Tim Gleason can play with, because he can play with just about anything."

Count Down to the Hurricanes '10-'11 Season!

I just can’t get tired of that one. The best is the lady in the background giving Staal the double finger salute.

That has to be the best Canes moment ever!

That is why Eric Staal is your Captain folks.

DVR Alert

This may be as good of a place as any to note that the NHL Network is running Game 3, Game 5, and Game 7 of the 2009 Canes vs. Devils series next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Two showings a day under “Classic Series”. Marty humiliation at its finest.

My bad. It’s listed under “2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs: New Jersey at Carolina, Game 3”, etc.

One showing at 7 a.m. and a second at either 3 or 4 p.m. each day.

did you notice that the MSG announcer calls Ruutu, Jarkko at first? lol. I pick up on things way too easily

I love how the comments are all full of people saying “how can you say he’s a crybaby?”

Seriously, he has a justification for not liking the call, but his reaction was insane, he was a crybaby.

And with RF

many many here agree with you 2000% !! now in defence of the reaction…and in reading rule 69…there was proof beyond any doubt he was way too far out of the “crease” and i do belive that even IF those in toronto had to rule…MB would still be ticked off!! but heck…still a good clip and it was one hell of a game!!
have a good day all.Be Safe !!
