Saw this last night while updating my NHL08 rosters. Can't find confirmation anywhere else. Anyone heard anything?

I saw it on the NHL section of yahoo sports under recent transactions yesterday but thought it might be a mistake. Can anyone confirm?

Pretty sure they got their “Alexandre Picards” mixed up. Phoenix signed the one who is a Forward this week to a one year. (there are 2 with the exact same name)

No.

Picard is also listed in a separate transaction.

Advance apologies if the contents of this sports-based post offended you. I'm just aiming to educate the masses. My law professor says they're asses.

This looks to be a mistake because there is no confirmation from the Canes on this. They also have the forward Picard from Phoenix listed on the previous day. Perhaps someone still mixed it up.

weird.

According to TheAHL.com Montreal signed Picard (the defenseman) to a one-year, two-way deal. Not on TSN or any other hockey site as of this moment.
