The NHL has announced that Eric Staal and Nicklas Lidstrom have been named All Star Game captains. Here is the story from the Hurricanes site. Staal and Lidstrom will be responsible for choosing the teams Friday, Jan. 28, for the Jan. 29 and 30 SuperSkills and All Star Game.
Hurricanes director of media relations Mike Sundheim has tweeted that Staal's team will wear the white All Star Game sweaters.
