We need your help for the next Canes Country Radio
Bob, Cory and I will be recording another episode of Canes Country Radio that will be available most likely sometime tomorrow. (If you haven't listened to our Southeast Division preview yet, what are you waiting for? Head to CanesCountryRadio.com stat.)
This episode will focus solely on the Hurricanes, and we want your help. What questions do you have about the Canes that you'd like us to answer during the show? Feel free to leave any questions as comments in this post, and we'll get to as many as we can. Note that we aren't doing a live show this time; if you remember our misadventures with that format last year, you can understand why.
Also, by tomorrow we'll have an iTunes feed so that you'll be able to subscribe to CC Radio and have new episodes automatically downloaded. Stay tuned.
Thanks for your help with this!

I'll put up a few.....
Thoughts on the line shuffling? Is this significant?
Mo says he knows which 6 D are playing Friday night. Who do you hope those 5 are an why?
Do you understand the new defensive system and can you discuss why it is more effective?
Do you like Sutter as 2nd line center, as a more offensive contributor and leave Jussi on the 3rd line w/Tlusty and Stewart?

In a similar vein, if the Canes make room for Faulk and Murphy, which of the other defensemen can they get along without? Skill isn’t everything. Will the defense have enough size and toughness if 5 of the 6 D are Pitkanen, Kaberle, McBain, Faulk and Murphy? Do you have an opinion about which of the 8 defensemen fit best in the new defensive scheme? Are Gleason, Allen and Harrison mobile enough for it? Are McBain, Faulk and Murphy strong enough?

If you were JR.......
…..How short would Mo’s leash be?( number of games and record ) What criteria would Mo have to meet in order to be coach at the end of the year?
Satan is just a coping mechanism for monotheists.
How do you think the org should handle the Boychuck situation? Has he done all he can here or should he get another chance to crack the lineup?

Discipline
Just a comment really. I was thinking how nice it was not to worry about starting the season off with one of our players being suspended for an illegal hit to the head or a serious boarding injury. In fact the last suspension I can remember was the Ruutu hit on Darcy Tucker. At least he also had a code of honor and got in a fight with him when all was said and done afterwards(In fact I think he injured himself…) In a nutshell I have to say that the Hurricanes discipline is one of there greater strengths and hopefully not viewed as us playing without a spine.

?
Does the logjam on the Canes blueline make Joni Pitkanen and his “hometown discount” contract a potential candidate for a trade?
Charity work
Our players also do a lot of really nice community outreach and charity work that the fans don’t necessarily hear about. Maybe take a few minutes in each show to focus on one of the players and his charity work or foundations that they’ve started.
