Mr My1Canes is taking me for my birthday to the March 12th Checkers game.  This will be our 1st time going to the arena,  Anyone have good tips or pointers to share?   Whats a good place for dinner nearby?  Anything worth doing Saturday during the day?  Should we pay to park at our hotel or is there street parking on a saturday?  We're staying at the Dunhill hotel  a few blocks away,  Then a trip to Ikea on Sunday morning.
