Canes lead league in fewest Man-games lost

Man Games lost this NHL Season - Globe and Mail

Currently the Canes are the only team averaging less than one man game lost per game (.78). Through 72 games, there have only been 58 man games lost. Based on past years, this is exceptional news. We can point to this stat and say its a prime reason why we're still in the Playoff discussion. We've had more stability this season than any other season since '05-06, which has helped us avoid the long (5+ game) losing streaks.

In the past there has been concern over whatever pre-and-in-season training Pete Friesen puts players through. He has clearly adapted things so it keeps players on the ice more.
