A Swedish hockey writer reports today that Overtime Hero, Stanley Cup champion and former Cane Niclas Wallin will be leaving the San Jose Sharks and joining Luleå of the Swedish Elite League. Wallin, who turned 36 in February and would have been a free agent on July 1, is expected to be named captain of his new club. He had tossed around the idea of returning to Sweden in 2010 but decided to stay with the Sharks for one more run; looks like the calling of the motherland won out this time.
