Greetings! I just moved into town (well, close to town; living in Durham) for school, and I was thinking about buying one of the 12-game ticket packages. But first, I had a couple questions. I thought y'all might be able to give me more candid answers than the box office folks.
I imagine you choose the 12 games that the ticket package covers. If that's wrong, please correct me. But do you have to choose them all up front? Being in school, I have my schedule set for the fall, but the spring course offerings haven't even come out yet. I have no idea whether I'm looking at any evening classes, so I don't know what I need to avoid. If I can choose six games now and delay choosing the other six until next semester's schedule comes out, that'd make this a much more attractive option.
Second, if I ever have any friends who want to go to a game, how easy is it to get a second seat with mine? If I have to buy myself a new ticket just to sit with a friend, that's an obvious downside.
Finally, is it even all worthwhile? Does the season mini-pack even save any money, or is it easier just to stubhub an individual game ticket? Additionally, am I going to have to pay $20 to park every time I come in for a game? Because that could put it out of my price range in a hurry. I am a broke graduate student.
I know I just asked a ton of questions without having hung out with y'all before, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. And if I do get the 12-game package, while I'll be wearing my Bolts jersey for three, I'll make sure to pick up a Canes sweater for the other nine. Southern hockey solidarity!
