Rodney to Anaheim
The Hockey News is reporting that the Ducks have signed Bryan Rodney to a one year deal-
I share Rutherford's opinion regarding D men, that they are best tempered at the NHL level. Rodney was signed as a free agent by the Hurricanes in 2008. Over his three seasons with the Canes, the London, Ontario native played 33 games, scored 1 goal, tallied 12 assists, and has a plus -7 rating. At 27 years old, Rodney still has some prime playing years ahead of him. I am sorry that he's headed west...here's to hoping that he doesn't turn into a regret. He will definitely be missed in Charlotte. Led D-men in points last season (47) and was second in team assists (38).

He got $250k at AHL level (League minimum at NHL Level = $525k). He only made $105k in Charlotte last year. Nice raise to move to Syracuse.

Agreed but will be missed
I enjoyed Rodney’s play and felt he still has much to offer any team he plays for. Wish him the very best and hope we get him back in an even more beneficial deal.
Agreed.
If this were baseball, he’d be a AAAA player in our system.

I liked him
but he was slow getting back and made some incredibly boneheaded turnovers in the playoffs with the Checkers. That kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Not happy to see him go, but I agree with everything that’s been said about him not working for us.
Advocating the correct nickname for Tyrus Thomas be: Tyrusauras.
Blindly Optimistic follower of The Iowa Hawkeyes, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Hurricanes, Charlotte Checkers, and the Charlotte Bobcats.

I liked him
his work ethic and efforts…dispite his screw & foul ups…he gave his best, win, lose, draw…I hope he does well with the “crunch”
What did you do during the summer when the playoffs are over ?
Go Canes & Checkers !!
