The Carolina Hurricanes kick off their preseason schedule tonight with a contest in Buffalo against the Sabres. Since this is the exhibition opener for both teams, don't look for very many regulars to suit up, although there will be a few.
The Canes' staff tweeted this morning that their lines would probably be as follows:
- Stewart-Matsumoto-Tlusty
- LaRose-Sutter-Dalpe
- Bowman-Brent-Dwyer
- Boychuk-Nash-Samson
- McBain-Harrison
- Allen-Murphy
- Faulk-Krueger
Brian Boucher and Justin Peters will share duties between the pipes.
According to Bill Hoppe, who covers the Sabres, look for the following forward lines from them:
- Ennis-Leino-Stafford
- Gerbe-Gaustad-Kaleta
- Tropp-McCormick-Whitmore
- Kassian-Adam-Foligno
Jhonas Enroth and Drew MacIntyre will share time in net. Also, look for Carolina prospect Danny Biega's brother, Alex, to be on their blueline. Newly acquired Robyn Regehr is also expected to be in the lineup.
Today is Slug Appreciation Day in Buffalo, so prepare yourselves for that. They are advertising that you can watch the game online at Sabres.com.
We will have an open game thread up and running here at Canes Country starting at 7.
