And this is in addition to the concussion!!??
Oh man, bad news…….get well Joni!
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Might as well fix anything else that is wrong. Sounds like his concussion is going to keep him out for a while. A smart move in my opinion.
I was just wondering the same thing. Can’t help but believe the knee issue was lingering and the concussion recovery made it wise to just go ahead and repair now.

What ?
I was starting to think from the headline that knee sugery was some new experimental concussion therapy.
his huge pumpkin head was too heavy for his knees to handle and one buckled.
I CAN'T BELIEVE STAAL FINALLY SCORED!!!
Joni is now officially the new Patric Eaves.
I believe in strength. I believe in unity. And if that strength, that unity of purpose, demands a uniformity of thought, word and deed then so be it.

Question RE: Player Salaries
Since the risk of injury to a high-paid player can really hurt the bottom line, especially for small market teams, do teams ever take out insurance against injury that will pay back the club enough to cover at least the cost of the contract of an AHL prospect?
I like what Joni adds to the club most of the time, but he is an injury-prone player (missing at least 10 games a season isn’t uncommon for him if memory serves) and he would seem like an obvious player if there is any that I would want to have insured if at all possible.
