Same Old Bruins

The only times I have posted on this board in the past six months were in regards to the play of the Boston (fill in your expletive here). Both times the responses from the gallery were less than complementary. Well I hope with their antics this season, capped off by Saturday's mess with Vancouver, you have finally understood what I have been saying all along.

As a Whaler fan I had to endure all the Boston garbage from close up. It has not become any better in the ensuing years. Now that the Bruins are winning again you see how they really are, team and fans alike. I will put it as succinctly as possible.

Boston is scum. The players are scum. The coaches are scum. The fans are scum. The city is scum. Even their scum is scummier than the average scum. The sooner you folks figure that out then the sooner you can join the rest of the league in the collective hatred that is building up again for these sewer sniffers.

That is all.

I have no problem with the Marchand hit. Idiot Canuck appeared to be running at him..and he could have been conceivably been given a charging call. Marchand ducked (sissy thing to do, IMO). Reminded me of the scene in “Remember The Titans” when the quarterback ducks under the hit from the linebacker. Love it.

Canucks need to toughen up.

I am assuming you did not see the video of the 16 seconds of this leading up to the submarine hit? If you did then I am assuming this comment is sarcastic right?

When able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.

What? Salo was definitely not taking a run at him. He was skating over very, very slowly.

And you see nothing wrong with the hit? Good thing you aren’t a referee because that hit is the epitome of clipping. I’m glad the referees caught it and gave the proper penalty for it (automatic major if injury occurs, game misconduct if the referee feels intent was there) and he deserved the supplementary discipline too.

I looked at Marchand’s hit again. The one I viewed earlier was a link to his hit during last years SCF when he took out Sedin, who was running him. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CATs8GTkN7A This hit was the one I was commenting on. The article I read didn’t link to the hit from this weekend.

I just viewed that hit. And I agree, nasty dirty hit. 5 games is about right.

pretty harsh stuff!

i don’t think anyone can rightfully say that tim thomas is scum. he is an excellent goalie and a stand-up guy

I've discovered who that woman was having the heart attack when Staal scored: The Love Boat's Lauren Tewes!

Lay off your foolish hatred already

Do you want to know why no one ever responds well to your absurd tirades against any- and everything Boston? Because your posts on that subject are at least a little crazy – that’s why.

It takes such an extraordinary amount of energy to hate something as pointlessly and passionately as you do. So do yourself and anyone who has read one of your rants a favor and use your energy for something productive. Oy vey.

Hockey is a game. Everyone has a team or two that they don’t like. I don’t enjoy it when Sabres fans have anything to celebrate, but for God’s sake, I don’t want the city and its inhabitants wiped off the face of the earth.

Unless the mayor of Boston burned down your house and murdered your family (in which case I’m terribly sorry, but you’re still being irrational), chill out.

Hockey’s just a game and Boston’s just a city. Every city has horrible people living in it, every team has some less-than-popular players, and every fanbase goes a little crazy when their team wins.

And if you want to keep yelling at everyone about how repugnant you find Boston, maybe you should try posting on a Montréal blog. Although even they may not receive your extreme views kindly.

Vince, please keep in mind that we don’t talk to each other like that on this blog – it’s quite rude. And use the reply button.

Funny reference in theory, but nonsensical in this situation.

Bob (not me personally) has made clear the rules as to how people are and are not allowed to speak to each other here. If you have a problem with those standards, you’ll want to talk to him.

It’s very sad to me that you carry around such unreasonable hatred and find it acceptable to speak about and to people the way that you do (especially a teenage girl – who forgot to teach you manners?). But your deeper issues are none of my concern. You can’t be reasoned with and I’m not going to waste any more of my time trying.

Good luck in the future, Vince.

OOOOOOOOO I'm Hurt

Good. Now go away to little scold.

You honk off at me and then you get offended when I tell you off. You sound like a Bruins fan.

Personally, I’m in favor of any team that wants to give the Canucks a taste of their own dirty medicine. I mean, not many teams get a full team fine for the actions of one player.

Must kill you that the Habs disagree, Vince

The biggest rival of the Boston Bruins, and Max Pacioretty himself says they aren’t dirty, but a physical team.

I think that’s good sportsmanship, but not necessarily truthful.

Sportsmanship….go fishing. Max Pac is kind of a pest himself so there would like a pot and kettle situation if he were to start flapping his yap. Not that he asked for what happened to him last year.
