I'm not joking...
these guys on NBC sports are THAT bad imho. I’d take Tripp over them ANY day. It doesn’t seem like this is the normal crew commentating the game like I’ve been used to on NBC sports. I don’t mind the between period guys, but the guys calling this game. Horrible.

he’s been pretty bad. actually not just him – a few times we got big breaks in our own zone with turnovers. like I can’t remember who, but one of our guys just left a puck sitting there in front of him for a split second and a Washington guy got it…

Oddly enough he’s been playing more like an offensive defender tonight, he’s carried the puck nicely and taken some good shots. But he’s doing OK and has helped Faulk when Faulk had a couple of breakdowns. The Caps are big and strong forwards…. …and they’ve used it at times.
Minor thing, big change
Anyone else notice the guys in black just seem to look like they are having fun, enjoying playing with each other and in the system, and seem relaxed and more confident each game?? Something clearly missing before the coaching change, and something that bodes well for the future.
well, he’s kinda playing like Tlusty did in that same position… People have been wondering about his shot—me included—se let’s hope he continues to play well defensively but ups his offensive ante

Green is -2 and has been crucial to all 3 Canes goals so far. Of course Caps announcers still singing his praises

So far, this has been a great game from a Canes perspective. Staal & Tlusty have obviously stuck out. The one player that seems to still be a little off is Jussi, at least to me. What is wrong with him this season? Nothing really seems to be going right for him. I hope he can break out of his funk.

they kept the puck in the zone several times…amazing job jumping in at the blue to keep the play going there. great pass by spacek to staal to top off a great display of offense there
I couldn’t believe that was Spacek. I thought it had to be McBain or one of the more offensive minded defensemen.

I don’t completely agree. The Caps have made a lot of mistakes, but the Canes have managed to capitalize. I think it’s a bit of both.

But this is the most fun I’ve had watching a Canes game since the Boston massacre in October. What a game to have on national tv! It’s been complete domination and they’re not letting up. Playoffs or not, this is going to be a fun end to the season.

Well, it was the most fun to watch, and we dominated, but we had better games when the opponents fought back….
Good point. I really expected a push from WAS, especially coming out in the second. The announcers were right about their lack of effort.. But this game was dominated from start to finish.
