Hoping that the Checkers can get the win tonight and be closer to getting some playoff hockey in Raleigh!

It will be exciting to see what Dumoulin can bring to this Checkers team as they push for the playoffs. I saw the team recently in Hershey. They looked good for most of that weekend series but just couldn't push themselves over the hump and get a win. The goaltenders performed well but the defense really let them down. At least twice the defensive turnovers helped the Hershey Bears take advantage and turned them into goals. Also, Chris Terry was about the only standout on the ice that weekend. With Terry being young and the only Checker to be named to the AHL All-Star game, does anyone else wonder why he hasn't received a call up to the Canes? I saw the Checkers play numerous times in Charlotte last year and Terry always stood out to me as a kid who gave it his all ever shift. I'd love to see him get a chance with the Canes next year. I believe he deserves a shot.
