I am really sorry that what has become an annual kickoff to the NHL season has been cancelled. I have participated all six years and have found the players, fans , John F and Tripp and the entire experience to be a blast. With all of the off season excitement, I was looking forward to a big turnout from the Caniac nation.

I suppose at some level I knew that Pete and his family could not take on this responsibility for an indefinite period. However, with all of the staff and PR folks the 'Canes have, it just seems the team could have stepped in and continued the tradition. It's a real loss (in my opinion) .
