I have got to say that I am very disappointed that CC is a literal cricket chirping, desolate desert of silence as the CBA deadline approaches and a lockout seems imminent. Isn't this a hockey forum? Seems odd that news of this nature would be met with little or no discussion and not even a summary from the host writers. No offense. Is there some danger in commenting or editorializing the issues? Is this just too boring of a topic that has already been discussed ad-nausium? Are other triangle sports options or activities easily filling the void for this following? Is hockey in danger in this market?

Are not the plethora of last minute signings and players placed on waivers fodder for discussion?
