Let's face it, we beat a mediocre Sabres team. That's it. I don't see us being a playoff team for the following reasons:
1. Cam Ward is off.
2. Our defense is downright terrible. We should have never let Allen walk. We have no physical presence at all.
3. Our forward lines are too finesse. We miss a skilled power forward and the only person capable of being that is injured.
4. Our 3rd line is not producing...at all. This is a serious problem.
5. We have a serious lack of forward depth. If any fo the Staals, Skinner, or Semin go down....it's game over. By the way they are the only ones scoring...
When will "this team still needs time to form chemistry" stop being an excuse? The same problems happen year after year and quite frankly I am becoming tired of it. As of right now, I do not see us making the playoffs unless we either get a good stay at home D-man or maybe a physical 3rd line center.
